Battle Report Teaser: Eldar vs Necron Air Force

Hey all, themightysquig here with another Battle Report Teaser. This week, Son of Adam’s Eldar took on Jesse’s Necron Flyer list. Flyers have become a dominant force in the 6th Edition and are expected to be a popular choice at NOVA.  However, SoA thinks that his Eldar army is built to withstand even the toughest flyer list.  With the tournament  just a week away, they decided to put this theory to the test in a NOVA primer match. Can Jesse’s Necrons crush SoA’s Eldar? Can SoA’s list really handle that much firepower? You’ll have to wait for the next battle report to find out! Until then, enjoy these photos from the battle!

Necron Immortals take position near an objective.

Eldar Pathfinder finds a good vantage point in the center ruin.

A squad of Pathfinders infiltrates on an objective.

Snipers fill the middle ruin, giving them sight and range to the whole table.

Council flies over the crest to pursue the Space Wolf allies.

Necron Doom Scythe takes aim at the Pathfinders

Necron Air force covers the table with little fear of return fire.

Death Rays tear through the council every turn.

The Doom Scythe snipes out some jetbikes with its Death Ray.

Battle Report Teaser: Eldar vs Space Wolves with Grey Knight Allies

Hey all, themightysquig here bringing you another Battle Report Teaser. This week, Son of Adam went head-to-head with Matt, owner of Stomping Grounds. Matt brought a Space Wolves drop pod army with Grey Knight allies to square up against SoA’s Eldar list.

It was a close game, as drop pods can cause a lot of trouble for SoA’s Eldar. Does SoA overcome his list disadvantage? Does Matt give SoA his first loss since the launch of this blog? I’m not going to tell you (haha, take that, internets!). Instead check out these pictures from the game and make sure you check out the Battle Report and Strategy Follow-up for this game as they get posted.

Snipers hide behind the aegis defense line

Long Fangs deploy in a ruin in order to get clear line of sight on the battlefield.

Long fangs rain down fire support all game almost untouched.

The fire dragon exarch manages to survive combat for a round.

Grey Knights lend fire support that is boosted with prescience.

One council member stands out in between the ruins.

Grey Hunters get inside the aegis and prepare to cut down the snipers in combat.

The council tries to multi-charge the drop pods for some extra kill points.

Paul’s Blood Angels, Take Two

Hey all, themightysquig here bringing you just one extra photo of Paul’s Blood Angels. You may remember them from a recent Battle Report and Strategy Follow-up, the Battle Report Teaser, and his Army Showcase. Well, the internets have raged a bit about how some of his models were not fully painted and lacking heads. The internets can be so demanding sometimes. Well, lucky for you, Paul saw the comments and decided to give the people what they wanted: fully painted Blood Angels. Enjoy.

I hope you’re happy, internets. 🙂  Thanks Paul for showing us these wonderfully painted models!

Army Showcase: Paul’s Salamanders w/ Blood Angels

Hey all, themightysquig here bringing you another army showcase. Today we’re looking at some beautiful Space Marine and Blood Angel models.  Paul brought this army to take on Son of Adam in our most recent battle report. You can see photos of this army in action in our latest batrep teaser.

Two pieces that I like the most out of this army are the scouts and the assault marines.  The camouflage cloaks that the scouts are wearing look amazing in forest terrain, while the assault marines just look really boss. But that’s enough talking for me – take a look at this pics!

Snipers with great camo scheme.

Converted Librarian

Beautiful Salamander tactical squad.

Great detail on the sergeant and his banner.

Salamanders proudly don the name of their forgefather.

Assault marines painted well on some resin bases.

Special thanks to Stomping Grounds for letting us take pictures in their store.

Army Showcase: Vanguard’s Grey Knights

Hey all, themightysquig here bringing you another Army Showcase. This one comes to you from our very own Vanguard, who is our painting specialist here at MasterCraft Gaming. We’ll be getting a painting video with him on the site soon, but until then, check out his Grey Knights. They are beautifully painted and the level of detail is really impressive. But don’t take my word for it, take a look for yourself!

Paladins with their Grand Master, these guys look like they shouldn’t be messed with.

Everybody loves some heavy support.

Strike squads each have personal heraldry.

That’s a lot of muscle.

This dreadknight is beautiful and deadly.

Photogenic guy eh?

Grand Master, stave for challenges, and an Inquisitor provides some extra psychic support.

Special thanks to Stomping Grounds for letting us shoot in their store.

What do you think about these models? Please like and comment, we want to hear from you!

Devistators Take position above their objective.

Scouts find cover in a forest.

Vanguard drop in on some of the infiltrating Pathfinders.

Fire dragons retaliate against the vanguard that destroyed their transport.

Paul’s camo paint scheme looked great on his scouts.

The pathfinder’s strong cover save was negated by template weapons and they were easily removed.

The farseer’s psycic powers help balance the scales in combat.

Army Showcase: Space Wolves

Hey all, themightysquig here showing off some more really well painted models.  This army showcase is of our buddy Steve’s custom Space Wolves army.  He custom made these guys to be chaos space wolves and I think they turned out great.  I grabbed a few shots of this army in action, but I wanted to get a few posed shots so we could get a better look at them. Enjoy!

Thunderwolf Lord with wolves.

This guy looks boss and tanked it for his squad in the game.
